FDG2024
The venue
FDG2024 will take place at São Carlos Federal University (www.ufscar.br), in São Carlos, São Paulo, Brazil, approximately 4 hours from São Paulo (Guarulhos International Airport) and 2,5 hours from Campinas (Viracopos International Airport).
How to get there
Participants from other countries/states can reach São Carlos through the following airports:
1. Guarulhos International Airport (GRU):
Take an Uber/Taxi or use the Airport Bus Service from the airport to the Tietê Bus Station. From Tietê, take a bus to São Carlos. Companies Empresa Cruz and Viação Cometa provide the São Paulo – São Carlos route.
2. Congonhas International Airport (São Paulo):
Take an Uber/Taxi from the airport to the Tietê Bus Station. From Tietê, take a bus to São Carlos. Companies Empresa Cruz and Viação Cometa provide the São Paulo – São Carlos route.
3. Viracopos International Airport (Campinas):
Take an Uber/Taxi or use the VB Transportes/LIRABUS service from the airport to the Campinas Bus Station. From the Campinas Bus Station, take a bus to São Carlos. Companies Empresa Cruz and Viação Cometa provide the Campinas – São Carlos route.
4. Leite Lopes Airport (Ribeirão Preto):
take an Uber/Taxi from the airport to the Ribeirão Preto Bus Station. From the Ribeirão Preto Bus Station, take a bus to São Carlos. Empresa Cruz provides the Ribeirão Preto – São Carlos route.
Transportation from the airports of São Paulo and Campinas to the venue, whether by car or van, may be provided for an additional fee. Participants interested in booking this service may indicate so in the registration form.
Social events
The conference dinner will be held at Nanmi Restaurant and is included in the conference fee..
We are furthermore pleased to extend an invitation for you to join a guided tour at Fazenda Santa Maria do Monjolinho, a former coffee farm, which is available for an additional fee (around €20/R$100,00, depending on the number of participants). To reserve your spot, kindly complete the registration form. Payments can be made at the conference premises.
Extending your stay
If you would like to extend your stay with a visit to Brasil, it is recommended that you arrange a hotel reservation as soon as possible, as hotel facilities are in high demand, and prices may become higher near the date.
